A novella that introduces The Fearless Five

When their Twitter pal, Frank, a conspiracy theorist blogger, goes missing, his 4 closest tweeps - a female novelist, a recreational hacker, a cowboy-banker and a golf pro - fly to Los Angeles from around the U.S. to solve the mystery. And then, of course, there's the world to save.

The Great Twitter Adventure How 5 Tweeps Saved the World edition by Kathy Lynn Hall Literature Fiction eBooks

I thoroughly enjoyed The Great Twitter Adventure: How 5 Tweeps Save the World by Kathy Lynn Hall.
This is one novella I will read again just for the joy of reading a delightful story.

If you're not on Twitter it might be hard to imagine five people who have never met except through short notes on the internet could become great friends and willing to do whatever it takes help one of their own is in trouble. I happen to be on Twitter and totally agree with this concept.

Kathy Lynn Hall's tale finds one of the group in real and dangerous trouble. The other four members of the group rush to his aid and go about plotting how to solve the problem of someone wanting their friend dead. The answer will surprise you.

The author does a great job of making this tale interesting, funny and a real page turner.
I highly recommend The Great Twitter Adventure to anyone who enjoys a good easy read.

The Great Twitter Adventure How 5 Tweeps Saved the World edition by Kathy Lynn Hall Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

Having first "met" the author by means of Twitter it was fascinating to read this book about the chain of events that follow when one of a group of five close twitter friends goes missing. The group of friends have never met in the flesh but that does not stop them from coming to the aid of the Tweep who may be in danger. This will ring bells if you use and connect through twitter a lot. I know from experience that you can in fact form friendships with people you never meet, and although you know something about other people's lives, there are always hidden areas. This is certainly the case here, and the book picked me up and carried me along from start to finish. The characters were engaging in completely different ways, even the brusque and seemingly shut down part-time computer hacker (a female which is a nice touch and depicted as completely against any stereotype which is wonderful) becomes more likeable the more you find out about her. There is danger and adventure in the narrative, but the author wisely does not make this into a high action, dramatic and bloody thriller. Rather the tone is, for the most part, kept light but never frivolous, a delicate balancing act to play but one which is successful. Again I found myself carried along by this book, and had reached the end before I even knew it! Definitely a must read for anyone who likes good old fashioned (but current day relevant) adventure, and who has ever navigated the waters of online social networking!
Maggie gets home from a bad day at work, turns on her twitter, the place for fun 24 hours, and notices that it has been over two days since Frank has posted anything. He is one of the four tweeps that she has bonded with and formed a deep friendship with in with under 140 charters at a time.

Frank is a investigator blogger that digs as deep if not deeper than most investigative reporters. It was his blog that brought five of them together. Eddy is a computer genius, an IT consultant, she loves hacking into high security networks for the fun of it. Dwayne is a pro golfer from Florida. Then there is Tex, he looks awful young, but the cowboy image really gets Maggie's motor running.

Maggie forwards am email to Eddy that Frank had sent her and told her to send to Eddy if he was off line for more than two days, with a note to call her. And so begins The Great Twitter Adventure. Eddy conferences Dwayne and Tex in on the call. They agree to meet the next day in LA. In this adventure, they are followed, everybody but Maggie brings guns to the party, they have to fund Frank's files, then Frank. With the help of a Former FBI agent they figure out who is following Frank, and maybe who the bad guts are too.

They find in person the same solid friendship that they had in cyber space, and maybe Maggie figures out 34 isn't to old for Arizionian Tex. Great read, I think I read it in a couple hours, couldn't put it down! Must pick it up if you have ever been on twitter, or wondered what twitter was about.
I REALLY wanted to enjoy The Great Twitter Adventure and I did ... Until halfway through! Having been an avid tweeter (up until a year ago) I can certainly understand the premise of very strong friendships forming between a group of people who haven't even met. The characters were all very well written and the storyline intriguing but halfway through I felt the pace of the story slowed and the ending was rushed and a huge let down. Quite disappointing as I really do think this has the makings of a unique, fantastic book.
What a great read! Sexy, exciting, funny and mysterious...this book had me guessing all the way through! If you like Janet Evanovich you will enjoy this book! Looking forward to more from Kathy Lynn Hall!
I truly enjoyed this book. The story was fun and light and the characters were quite likeable ( except for the bad guys, of course ). I like the authors' style of writing and will continue to read her work.
I have to say I really enjoyed the pace and feel of this book. It was highly entertaining and moved quickly. There's a dash of romance thrown in that makes it fun and sets us up for more adventures. It feels like watching a great movie unfold as the characters are introduced, especially as we await the unveiling of our fedora wearing mystery man. Pick this up today!
It is the author's hope that the reader has a `rollicking good time' with this novella. With me her hopes were realised.

It's an easy fun read and the story is told well. The language and pace suit the plot which develops seamlessly.

It's set firmly in the modern day with Twitter being the means by which the five disparate protagonists come together through following the tweets of Frank, a freelance writer and blogger who is also a conspiracy theorist. Very quickly they become `the fearless five'. When Frank disappears for several days and leaves hints that all may not be well the others physically meet for the first time with the intention of tracking him down.

This is a story of friendship with allusions to the Three Musketeers all for one and one for all. At story end the friendship is well and truly cemented.

It's a short novella but the characters are nicely drawn and the budding alliances work well. Which is good, because the author presages sequels.
I thoroughly enjoyed The Great Twitter Adventure How 5 Tweeps Save the World by Kathy Lynn Hall.
